I had never had alkaline water before. I bought several types of bottled alkaline water at the recommendation of my doctor for silent reflux. I could feel a difference on my throat, though the taste was also pleasing and not much different from tap water. I wanted a longer environmentally friendly option and the Cerra water pitcher really fit the bill. I have been using it daily for two months and the pH remains about 8.5-9. It was a great addition, easy to use. I have used the water when making tea or coffee and it works well. My silent reflux is improving. Great product. When you completely fill the top portion of the pitcher, you do need to wait until all the water moves through the pitcher before pouring (it only take a few minutes). Also, the top of the pitcher had a very tight fit so I often don't completely close it for ease of refilling it.
