Works well

I was a little skeptical of the claims initially. When I received the starter package with the European style pitcher, I was still wary. Seemed very lightweight and cheaply made and the filters are quite small compared to other pitcher filters I have used. My concerns disappeared when using the filter though. It does what is advertised. My tap water tests at about 8 ph. Once run through the pitcher it seems to be closer to 10! Hard to know the exact number as you are just eyeballing by color comparison, but it is very dark blue/purple. The only suggestion I would have is that it should be bigger. For example, the Britta pitcher I had been using is at least 1/3 larger. The Britta does not make the water alkaline though and that is my first priority. That is a small critique though. I just have to fill the pitcher more times each day. Overall very happy. I will continue to test the water as time usage increases. Hopefully the initial alkalinity will hold up as the filter gets used more.
